JUNIOR HIGH SCIENCE … COMPREHENSIVE TEACHER'S RESOURCES

The Alberta Assessment Consortium and Let's Talk Science have partnered to create resources for teachers interested in a new approach to light and optical systems for grade 8 Science and heat and temperature for grade 7 Science. These resource packages each consist of a unit framework and guide to help teachers plan and deliver engaging, hands-on units.

• The Optics Unit and Heat and Temperature Unit Frameworks enable science teachers to effectively and efficiently teach and assess learner outcomes and assist students to discover and apply science concepts. Performance assessment taks and rubrics are included.
• Teacher's Guides to Light and Optics and to Some Like it Hot! include engaging, hands-on activities developed by teachers, for teachers.
