Assessment Materials

Culminating, summative assessment tasks based on high priority learner outcomes provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate what they know and can do in an authentic, real-life context. New tasks are added on an ongoing basis.

These tools have been developed to support teachers as they design instruction and plan for conversations with students about what constitutes quality work. The tools provide specific focused support to guide students towards effective self-reflection and peer-coaching experiences. 

These social studies unit assessment plans model a backward design process. Each unit assessment plan includes at least two performance assessment tasks, written response, and a test blueprint.
