Building Better Rubrics - A Book Study Webinar Series

While rubrics have become commonplace in education, there is a great deal of conflicting information available in print, online and in teacher practice about what constitutes quality rubric design. This webinar series will examine the priciples of sound assessment practice on which rubrics must be designed in order to achieve their intended goal of supporting student learning.

Module 1 introduces you to the key purpose of rubrics and elements of rubric design.

Module 2 highlights common flaws in rubric design that interfere with their intended purpose.

Module 3 provides tools to assist in creating quality rubrics.

Module 4 emphasizes the role of rubrics within the larger picture of supporting student learning.
