AAC Collaborative Assessment Partnership 2011 – 2012 | |

AAC is embarking on a new project to provide sustained professional learning assessment support to jurisdictions through collaborative partnerships. Jurisdictions design their project based on their specific jurisdiction assessment focus and contract a portion of an AAC facilitator's time. Materials from the project, including teacher reflections on changing assessment practice and samples of student work will be shared with AAC for inclusion on the website to benefit AAC membership. One-to-One Mobile Learning | |

The Alberta Assessment Consortium is excited to play a role in the One-to-One Mobile Learning project funded by Alberta Education. Clarice Gilbert, AAC Project Facilitator, is working collaboratively, both face-to-face and via technology, with eleven communities of practice throughout the province. The focus is on integrating technology and embedding sound assessment practices into instruction with the goal of better meeting the needs of 21st century learners. High School Mathematics | |

AAC is pleased to announce the secondment of John Scammell as a member of the AAC Field Services team beginning in February 2012. John has over twenty years of experience in high school mathematics, teaching in both rural and urban settings, as well as leadership experience as department head and most recently as a consultant with Edmonton Public Schools. This secondment position is made possible through a grant from Alberta Education to support classroom assessment practices within the high school context. John will be working in a coaching role with communities of practice in northern Alberta. Details of the project will be highlighted here. | |
